The Red Coats Family of Companies consists primarily of three, family owned businesses operating in over 38 states and Canada and employing in excess of 7,000 personnel. Red Coats, Inc. delivers janitorial services, Datawatch Systems provides access control services, and Admiral Security provides uniformed guard services.  “An organization as diverse and expansive as our family of companies demands an accounting firm that understands its needs and delivers a multitude of financial services,” says Red Coats Chief Financial Officer Vicki Wells. “In 1980, the CST Group was selected to undertake the gargantuan task of providing these services and for the past thirty-four years their superbly professional and exceptionally versatile staff has been flawlessly delivering a long and diverse list of services to the Red Coats Family of Companies.”

In addition to efficiently and effectively orchestrating all tax matters for the companies (both federal and in thirty-eight states), one of the more challenging and potentially complex tasks in which the CST Group was a key player was the smooth transition of the companies’ leadership from the founders’ generation to the next generation, including the children and families.  The CST Group has frequently been asked by the family of companies to facilitate the acquisition process. Wells points out that in this role, “The CST Group has been a major contributor to the successful and continuous expansion of all three companies.”  Other tasks that CST Group has successfully undertaken for the family of companies include multiple business valuations and the coordination and mediation of complex issues involving two or more of the companies.  . Wells is also quick to point out, “Every person with whom we have contact at the CST Group cares deeply about the quality of their work, and they are intensely loyal to the Red Coats Family of Companies.”  She goes on to emphasize that, “We all look forward to continuing our longstanding engagement with the CST Group for the foreseeable future.”
