What was your first accounting job?
I worked as an accountant at a pediatric practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan, which then merged with an Internal Medicine and Obstetrics practice.
How long have you been doing what you do?
I started in public accounting in 2004.
What do you like most about being a CPA?
I like the variety of tasks we perform as CPAs whether it is preparing the different types of tax returns, compiling financials, dealing with audits, or offering clients the information and advice they seek.
What is your favorite professional success story?
I have helped several clients have favorable outcomes from IRS audits. Understandably, clients can be very anxious when under audit and so they are very pleased when there are no additional taxes assessed.
If you were not a CPA, what would you would be doing?
Running my own bakery/café in a nice coastal town
Where did you go to school?
University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia
What is one thing that you absolutely couldn’t live without?
Cookies, bread and pasta…. pretty much all carbs
What is something people don’t know about you?
I was a Varsity rower in college on a Women’s Lightweight 8.
