I was born and raised in Ashburn, Virginia.
Where did you go to school?
I went to Virginia Tech – Go Hokies!
How did you get started in accounting?
My parents are accountants, as well as many aunts and uncles. I think it runs in the family!
What are you most passionate about professionally?
I am passionate about making a difference. When I am involved with a project at work, I try my best to achieve success.
How has CST helped you in your career development?
Although it is very early in my career, CST has provided me with extensive training and support. I am able to work with high-level professionals every day. Everyone is open to lending a hand or answering questions whenever needed. Most importantly, CST Group recognizes hard work.
What makes CST Group unique or special compared to your work experiences elsewhere?
I believe that CST Group’s culture is what sets it above the rest. Here, we have great work-life balance and a real sense of community.
What do you enjoy most about your current position at CST Group?
I really enjoy the fact that each day is different. I learn something new every day!
If you were not a CPA, what would you be doing?
I would be either a wedding planner or an interior designer.
What is your favorite travel spot?
My favorite travel spot is Arnold’s Park, Iowa. My family owns a lake house there and we go every year for the Fourth of July.
What is your favorite thing to do in the DMV?
I enjoy visiting all the beautiful wineries in the area.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
My name is Melody because my father is a musician. Even my middle name is music-related.
What is one thing that you absolutely couldn’t live without?
Ice cream – I eat it nearly every day.
