How did you get started in accounting?
I took a bookkeeping class in high school and really enjoyed it. I wanted to be a bookkeeper.

What was your first accounting job?
I worked in the accounting department (computer operator) at Borden’s Dairy in Lexington, KY.

How long have you been doing what you do?
25 years

Before working at CST Group, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
I worked at a CPA firm in Lexington, KY and learned a lot about the horse racing business.

What do you enjoy most about your current position at CST Group?
I really enjoy working with the same clients each year and developing personal relationships with them.

What is your favorite professional success story?
I admire a former client in Lexington, KY who made his money in another industry and came to KY to retire and started horse racing. He was an older gentleman and had a horse that won the Breeder’s Cup.

Where were you born?
Oakland, MD

If you were not a CPA, what would you would be doing?
I love kids and would like to work with them.

Where did you go to school?
I graduated from the University of Kentucky.

What is your favorite travel spot?
The beach.

What is your favorite movie?
James bond movies with Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

What is the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I grew up on a dairy farm and milked cows.
