As part of CST Group’s charitable giving program, Jeans for Charity, the firm is proud to support Active Minds throughout the month of January.
Active Minds is a nonprofit organization that empowers students to speak out about mental health issues in order to educate others and encourage those struggling with mental health issues to seek help. Active Minds develops and supports student-run chapters dedicated to mental health awareness, education, and advocacy on campuses nationwide.
The organization recently announced that actor Wentworth Miller, best known for his television roles in Prison Break and Legends of Tomorrow is now an Active Minds ambassador for mental health. They are hoping he will help change the conversation about mental health.
“It’s critical that we all work towards suicide prevention and increase mental health awareness,” said Kathy Jensen, Partner at CST Group. “The fact is that many of these students live away from their families and their regular support systems. The work that Active Minds does on campuses is so important. They continually demonstrate their commitment to helping those with mental health issues.”
