In August, our Jeans for Charity program supported St. John’s Community Service, a nonprofit that assists people living with disabilities as well as the communities in which they live. They have over 100 volunteer board members and 900 staff members supporting over 900 children and adults with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities and their families in Washington, DC, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Delaware, and Virginia. They help inform the public with a goal of decreasing the number of challenges people with disabilities often face.
St. John’s Community Service was established in 1868 and many of its staff are descendants of the early founding group. They all work tirelessly to increase inclusion and respect for others.
“St. John’s Community Service’s commitment to improving the lives of people living with disabilities is further reaching than those individuals. Their families and communities are also touched by their work, and I applaud their dedication and hard work,” said Joe Romagnoli, Managing Partner at CST Group.
