RESTON, VA, September 10, 2013—The CST Group, one of the Washington D.C. region’s leading certified public accounting firms, announced today that Emily Maffey, CPA has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Maffey brings 19 years of experience in tax and CPA practice management. At the CST Group, she will oversee the firm’s finance and accounting, human resources, IT and operations.

Prior to joining the CST Group, Ms. Maffey served for eight years as Director of Operations and Finance for BB&T Capital Markets’ Equity Capital Markets Division. From 1999 to 2005, she was Chief Administrative Officer for Windsor Group, LLC. Ms. Maffey is a licensed CPA in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA).
